Known problems

  • Worth watching

12 V on-board network warnings and charging aborts

Symptoms: '12V-Bordnetz' fault message, 'weak 12 V battery' warning, a charging session that stops part-way (reported at a fast charger and on an 11 kW AC point), in the worst case a car that will not restart and needs towing.

What to do: The high-voltage system needs a healthy 12 V battery to wake the control units, so have the 12 V battery tested early when warnings appear, and have the charging log read by a workshop. Do not assume the traction battery is at fault.

  • Worth watching

High-voltage battery cell / module service action 93P7 (2021 cars)

Symptoms: No visible symptoms for most cars; the action targets battery modules with weak cells that could degrade the pack early. In rare cases a module is swapped, which takes the car off the road for 1-3 days.

What to do: Ask a Škoda dealer to check your VIN for action 93P7, especially on 2021 model-year cars (VIN 10th character M). It is a voluntary service action, not a KBA recall; module replacement is done in the workshop. Owners report that a replaced module can briefly change displayed range.

  • Worth watching

    ME3 software and driver-assistance glitches

Symptoms: Online connection that will not establish, frozen or slow infotainment, error messages shortly after start-up, missing charge-level display, Travel Assist / adaptive cruise reported as unavailable, occasional unexpected braking from traffic-sign recognition.

What to do: Have the dealer apply the latest software at every visit; a reset or update fixed some reported faults, though some owners say updates also introduced new ones. Persistent Travel Assist or ACC unavailability should be read out by a workshop rather than ignored.

  • Good to know

Charging cable stays locked after charging

Symptoms: The AC plug will not release at the end of a session.

What to do: Unlock the car with the key/app first, or use the manual release from the owner's manual; if it recurs, ask the dealer to check the software.

  • Good to know

Rear drum brake noise (where rear drums are fitted)

Symptoms: Scraping or squealing from the rear after the car has stood or driven on dusty/wet roads, a slight rocking motion just before standstill.

What to do: The source attributes the noise to dirt in the rear drums and says it does not affect braking; a workshop can clean them out, and it is often handled as goodwill.

Service schedule

Item Interval Notes
Inspection Important every 19,000 mi (30,000 km) or 24 months carwiki.de (Enyaq iV Inspektion page) quotes Škoda's service plan as 24 months, with a visit recommended at the latest every 30,000 km; the owner's manual / service booklet is authoritative. The page lists a 12 V battery check, a high-voltage battery cell diagnosis and a fault-memory readout among the steps.
Brake fluid Important every 36 months carwiki.de says brake fluid is checked at inspection and replaced according to condition, usually every 3-4 years. Not a Škoda-published figure; follow the service booklet for your car.
Brake inspection (pads, discs, rear drums where fitted) every 24 months Regenerative braking keeps wear low; brakes are checked on a test rig at inspection per carwiki.de. Conventional fallback, no manufacturer figure found for a separate interval.
Cabin (pollen) filter — Listed as 'replace' in the inspection plan on carwiki.de; no separate interval found.
High-voltage battery / heating coolant Important — Level and condition are checked at inspection; replacement is condition-based per carwiki.de, no fixed interval found. Conventional fallback, no manufacturer figure found for an interval.
Software update check — No engine oil service on a BEV. Ask the dealer to apply the current ME3 software at inspection.

Manufacturer-declared fuel economy

No manufacturer-declared figures for this model are in the Knowledge Base yet. A figure without the cycle it was measured under is not comparable to anything, so we publish none rather than a number you cannot interpret.

A starting point, not a diagnosis: this page describes what tends to happen to this model, and a workshop confirms what is happening to your car.

Frequently asked

What are the most common Škoda Enyaq problems?

The faults reported most often are: 12 V on-board network warnings and charging aborts; High-voltage battery cell / module service action 93P7 (2021 cars); ME3 software and driver-assistance glitches. Symptoms, the mileage each appears at and what to do about it are all above.

How often does the Škoda Enyaq need servicing?

Inspection — every 19,000 mi (30,000 km) or 24 months. The full published schedule is above; your car's own service book always takes precedence.

Where does this data come from?

Brimly's Vehicle Knowledge Base — the same verified facts the app's AI assistant answers from. Every fault is written up from public sources and then checked by a human before it is published; nothing here is generated on the fly.
